Our Goal
Golden Harvest Wing Chun is a martial arts school in the Kansai area (Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara). Our goal is to teach effective self-defense to all students, regardless of experience, age, or background. Self-defense can and should be easy to learn. We welcome anyone with an open mind to come visit our classes and decide for themselves.

Relaxation plus speed equals power
What does this really mean? Most martial arts believe that when two forces come together, the greater force always dominates. Which is true in many factors but in the art of Wing Chun, the opposite is true. In Wing Chun we believe that the redirection is most important. It is like a car driving forward at a high velocity and you are standing in its way. You have two choices: 1. stand and try to stop the forward energy, or 2. move away either to the left or the right to evade the kinetic energy.
A simple swift attack is more severe than a long complicated arranged one. Applying the softness with the hardness is the main factor in Wing Chun. Speed generates force, or power. It doesn’t matter what size or gender he or she is, anyone can apply maximum force.
